DESCRIPTION
This suit is of Swedish origin, produced by Elson and originally sold at the E.B. Ohlson store in Hjo, a small town centrally located in southern Sweden. It is made from a mid-grey fabric featuring a finely scaled, subtle check pattern in a darker grey shade. This type of fabric was very typical for the period.
The jacket is single-breasted with three buttons. It has horizontal front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and ventless. Inside, the jacket is fully lined and has three inner pockets — one large pocket on each side plus a smaller pocket on the left.
The trousers have slightly slanted front pockets and a crease down the leg. They feature a zip fly and belt loops. At the back, there is a pocket on each side, both with button closures.
Overall, the condition is good, although there are a few minor discolorations in the lining, which are not visible when the suit is worn. There is also a discoloration on the inside of one trouser leg. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion regarding the condition.
SIZE
In terms of size, the jacket corresponds roughly to an EU 46–48 (US/UK 36–38). The trousers, however, are somewhat larger at the waist, corresponding more closely to an EU 50–52 (US/UK 40–42). They can, of course, be easily adjusted to match the jacket size. Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowances.
