DESCRIPTION
This suit is of Swedish origin and was made sometime during the 1960s by Elson. The cloth is British and features a subtle blue check pattern on a finely patterned grey ground.
The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has horizontal front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole in the left lapel. At the back it is straight and features two vents. Internally, it is fully lined and has a total of four inner pockets: one large pocket on each side plus two smaller pockets on the left-hand side.
The trousers have a single front pleat, slightly slanted front pockets, and a zip fly. They have belt loops, and at the back there is one pocket on each side, both with button fastening.
In terms of condition, the overall impression is good, although there are a few small damages to the cloth. There is also some light discolouration to the trouser leg lining. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own impression of the condition.
SIZE
In terms of size, the jacket differs slightly from the trousers, most likely because the trousers have been let out at the waist at some point. The jacket corresponds approximately to a modern EU 50 (US/UK 40). The trousers, on the other hand, correspond to roughly an EU 52–54 (US/UK 42–44). Naturally, the trousers could be restored if desired. Please scroll down for the exact measurements and seam allowances.
