DESCRIPTION
The exact origin of this coat is uncertain. It was most likely tailored in Sweden, though it may also have been made in England and imported. The coat is crafted from a striking mustard-coloured fabric. On the inside, there is a silver nameplate bearing the original owner’s name – a detail commonly found in Swedish garments during the early decades of the 20th century. However, this coat is likely from a later period, probably tailored in the 1950s or 1960s. Perhaps the nameplate was transferred from the owner's previous coat? We may never know.
The coat is single-breasted with a concealed fastening and buttons up with three buttons. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps, and there is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight with a single vent. Inside, the coat is fully lined and has one internal pocket with a flap on the left side.
The condition is very good, especially considering the coat’s age and colour. Garments in this colour range often become dingy over time, but this one remains unusually fresh. There is no visible wear – not even on the buttonhole. It has most likely seen little use. Please examine the photos to form your own impression of the condition.
