SWEDISH 1950S/1960S GREY BESPOKE TROUSERS. SIZE CA EU 44-46 (US/UK34-36)

DESCRIPTION

These trousers carry no labels at all, but most signs point to them being bespoke and of Swedish origin. Their exact age is difficult to determine, though they were most likely made sometime during the 1950s or 1960s. They are cut from a grey wool cloth with a subtle twill structure.

They feature double front pleats and vertical front pockets. The fly is zip-fastened, and the waistband is fitted with a so-called belt tunnel, meaning that if worn with a belt, it is partially concealed within a channel running along the waistband. This is a detail most commonly associated with 1940s trousers, although the overall evidence suggests that this particular pair was made slightly later.

As for condition, there is one important point to note: there are two small holes in the cloth, one on the front of the trousers and one on the back. These could be repaired if desired. We have, however, chosen to leave them as they are and leave that decision to the future owner. They do not significantly affect the overall appearance, and the price has been set with this in mind. Otherwise they are in excellent condition, virtually as new. Please study the photographs and form your own assessment of the condition.
