DESCRIPTION
This suit is of Swedish origin. It is by the brand Kabom and was originally sold at the menswear shop Fristedts in Sala, which in fact remained in business until only a few years ago. The suit was most likely produced in the late 1950s or the early 1960s. It is made from a black worsted cloth with blue threads running through it, giving the overall impression of a blue-grey tone.
The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has horizontal front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole in the left lapel. At the back it is straight and features double vents. Internally, it is fully lined and has three inner pockets — two on the left-hand side and one on the right.
The trousers feature single forward pleats and slightly slanted front pockets. They have belt loops and a zip fly. At the back there is one pocket on each side, both with button fastening.
In terms of condition, the overall impression is good. The only thing to note is some minor discolouration in the lining; however, this is not visible when the suit is worn. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own impression of the condition.
SIZE
In terms of size, it falls somewhere between a modern EU 46 (US/UK 36) and EU 48 (US/UK 38). The trousers have a waist measurement corresponding to approximately an EU 46 (US/UK 36), although there is some material available to let out the waist so that they could correspond more closely to an EU 48 (US/UK 38).
