This overcoat has no labels, but it is in all likelihood of Swedish origin and was probably made during the latter half of the 1930s or possibly the 1940s. It is tailored in a heavy, felt-like navy blue wool fabric.
The coat is double-breasted with three rows of buttons, all of which are functional. It features substantial patch pockets with flaps and has a buttonhole on each lapel. The back is straight with a single vent. Internally, it is fully lined and has an inside pocket on the right-hand side.
In terms of condition, the overall impression is good. However, on closer inspection, a number of minor flaws can be observed. These consist mainly of small damages to the lining, but there are also some minor marks and wear to the outer fabric. These are documented in the photographs. Some of the buttonholes also show signs of wear. Please study the images carefully and form your own opinion of the condition.
SIZE
In terms of size, it corresponds to a modern EU 48 LONG (UK/US 38 LONG). As is typical with this type of garment, the fit will depend greatly on what is worn underneath. Please note that our size assessment is based on the coat being worn over a jacket. If worn over lighter garments, it will likely fit someone who normally wears an EU 50 (UK/US 40).
