DESCRIPTION
This very soft suiting fabric is of Swedish origin, from Nyborgs, a manufacturer from the city of Norrköping. It has a very suble herringbone texture, which can be seen in the pictures. Other than suiting it would also work perfectly well for coating, or perhaps a cap.

Most of the vintage suiting and coating fabrics sold here are either of Swedish, British or German origin.
They are typically heavier than suiting fabrics of today, and because of the higher weight (thicker weave) they behave differently when worn. This is the reason reproduction clothing using modern fabric is so easily identified as reproduction. And this makes true vintage suiting fabrics sought after not only by vintage enthousists but also by filmmakers or anyone else who wants as much realism as possible. The quality is of very high standard in general.
Regarding the weight, please note that the weight stated in ounzes refers to the weight per length meter, which is 1.5 meters. We use this value to make in easier for buyers to compare the weight with fabrics from modern producers, as they use this value in general to accounce the weight of their fabrics.
