SWEDISH 1920S/1930S RED PATTERNED DEADSTOCK NECKTIE BY SIMBA

DESCRIPTION

This tie is of Swedish origin and was sold new at AB Rydholms tailor shop in Gamla Stan, Stockholm. The brand is Simba. It is red with a branch-like pattern and is deadstock, meaning completely unworn. It has a nice label attached at one end. On the back of the label there is a price marked “16:-”, which was likely added much later, as a tie from the period when this was made would have cost only about a tenth of that. It may have been kept in storage and offered for sale again a few decades later, but once more remained unsold. The condition is absolutely perfect.
