SWEDISH 1920S/1930S BROWN-GREEN SPORTS FELT HAT BY KARLSKRONA HATTFABRIK. SIZE EU 54

DESCRIPTION 

This hat is of Swedish origin and was made at the Karlskrona Hat Factory, Sweden’s most renowned hat manufacturer, sometime during the 1920s or 1930s. It was sold new by a men’s outfitter named Karl Hellström & Co.

The colour is somewhat difficult to define, perhaps best described as a greenish brown. It features a green braided hatband, typical of hats of this type. The interior is unlined and has both the manufacturer’s and the retailer’s logos printed on the inside of the crown. It has a mid-brown leather sweatband, which also bears both logos.

As for condition, it is good overall. The sweatband would benefit from conditioning, likely due to age rather than use. Externally, the hat is in near-perfect condition. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion.
