BRITISH 1940S/1950S MID-GREY FELT HAT BY ÅHLÉN & HOLM. SIZE EU 58,5

DESCRIPTION 

This hat was produced in England, most likely sometime during the 1950s, or possibly a few years earlier. The manufacturer is not indicated; it is only marked with “superior quality.” The importer, however, is clearly stated: the Swedish company Åhlén & Holm, well known for its mail-order catalogs.

In colour, it is mid-grey and features a matching hatband in a similar tone. The interior is lined with a light silk fabric bearing a logo with the text “superior quality.” It has a light brown, almost yellow, leather sweatband. The sweatband text indicates the country of origin, and the importer’s logo is also present.

The overall condition is very good. The only points to note are some minor discolorations in the lining, which, of course, are not noticeable when the hat is worn. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion of the condition.
