DESCRIPTION
These black ankle boots are of Swedish origin. They were manufactured in 1940 by Bryntessons, a major footwear manufacturer based in Skara, southern Sweden, under contract for the Swedish Army. They are made from black calf leather and feature leather soles. The interior is lined with canvas, which was the standard construction for military footwear of the period.
The condition is excellent and shows very little use. A glance at the leather soles makes it clear that the boots have been worn at some point, but only on one or perhaps a few occasions. They remain remarkably close to new old stock condition. Please examine the photographs carefully and form your own assessment of the condition.
SIZE
The boots are marked "44" on the inside, corresponding well to a modern EU 44 (UK 10.5 / US 11). Please scroll down for the exact measurements.

Using good shoe trees is an important part of caring for your quality footwear. The shoe trees serve several functions that together help extend the life of your shoes. The cedar wood effectively absorbs moisture from the shoes, while the design of the shoe trees ensures that the shoes maintain their shape. The pleasantly scented wood also helps to minimise bad odours. We offer a split-toe model that expands once inserted to ensure that the upper leather is stretched sufficiently.
