SWEDISH 1930S/1940S MORNING SUIT TROUSERS. SIZE CA EU 48 (US/UK 38)

DESCRIPTION

These trousers are of Swedish origin, likely made sometime during the 1930s or 1940s. They are intended to be worn with a morning jacket and waistcoat, and feature a traditional striped pattern. They are made from a heavy wool fabric. They are designed with a high waist, two front pleats, and the buttons for braces are placed on the outside of the waistband. They have vertical front pockets and a button fly. At the back, they have a fishtail and an adjustable buckle for waist size. There is also one back pocket with piping. They lack cuffs. All of these details are typically seen in trousers from even earlier, before the 1920s. However, traditional formal trousers continued to be made in this style for a long time, despite changes in the "general" suit trouser fashion.

The condition is generally good, with no damage to the fabric. However, there are a few small discolorations in the lining. Please take a look at the pictures and form your own opinion about the condition.
