SWEDISH 1940S/1950S DARK BLUE SINGLE TROUSERS. SIZE EU 60 SHORT (US/UK50 SHORT)

DESCRIPTION

These trousers are of Swedish origin and are marked "CBV", which stands for Centrala Beklädnadsverkstan (the Central Clothing Workshop), indicating that they were issued by the Swedish Armed Forces. They are made from a dark navy blue twill cloth.

The trousers feature a single forward pleat, belt loops, and gently slanted side pockets. They have buttons for braces on the inside of the waistband and a button fly. At the rear are two pockets, one on each side, both fastening with buttons.

The condition is excellent, apart from a small area of damage to the cloth near the fly. Please examine the photographs carefully and form your own assessment of the condition.

SIZE

These trousers are somewhat unusual in terms of size. They are larger than most of the trousers we are able to offer. The waist corresponds approximately to a modern EU 60 (UK/US 50). The leg length, however, is relatively short, with an inseam of just 72 cm (28.3 inches), although there is approximately 3 cm (1.2 inches) of additional material available in the hems. We therefore classify them as EU 60 Short (UK/US 50 Short).
