DESCRIPTION

These trousers are quite unusual! There is no label to reveal the manufacturer, but we don't think that they are of Swedish origin. They were probably made sometime between 1900 and 1920, or possibly a few years later. They are crafted from a heavy wool fabric in a deep blue tone. The front is flat, without pleats, and they feature vertical pockets, as well as buttons for braces on the outside of the waistband. On the left side, there is a coin pocket just below the waistband. They have a button fly and fasten with a hook-and-eye closure at the top. On the back, there is a well-constructed pocket on the right side with a button closure. They also have an adjustable buckle at the waist.

The buckle is marked with "Paris," which could indicate that the trousers are of French origin. However, it’s important to note that this may only apply to the buckle itself, and it’s not necessarily the case that the trousers were made in France.

In terms of condition, they are perfect — they barely look like they’ve been worn at all. It’s rare to find trousers from this period that aren't black, and even more so in this condition. For us, this is truly a pair of trousers out of the ordinary. Please take a look at the photos and form your own opinion of their condition.

SIZE

These trousers correspond to a modern EU 52 Short (US/UK 42S). There are a few extra centimeters of length that can be let down if desired. Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowances.
