SWEDISH 1950S/1960S GREY PINSTRIPE TWO PIECE SUIT BY JUNEX. SIZE CA EU 46 (US/UK36)

DESCRIPTION

This suit was sold new by Hedbergs, a chain of shops that had outlets in several smaller towns and cities in Sweden during the 1950s and 1960s. It is by Junex, a well-known Swedish ready-to-wear brand. It is made from a grey chalk-stripe cloth of British origin, from the West of England.

The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has horizontal front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole in the left lapel. The back is straight and has two double vents. Internally, it is fully lined and has three inside pockets, two on the left and one on the right.

The trousers have a single front pleat, slightly slanted front pockets and a zip fly. They have belt loops. At the back, there is one pocket on each side, both with button fastening.

The condition of this suit is far from perfect, which is reflected in the price. It is, however, perfectly wearable. We will nevertheless list all known defects here. There is a small discolouration on the lapel, where there is also a repair. One of the buttons on the sleeve cuff is broken. These buttons do not match the front buttons, however, so it might be advisable either to remove the cuff buttons or to replace all the buttons. There is also a discolouration on the trousers, at the back. There is a small hole in the crotch, although it is hardly visible when the suit is worn. Finally, there is some discolouration to the trouser lining. It should be noted that none of these defects has any significant impact on the overall impression of the suit, and it remains perfectly wearable.
