DESCRIPTION
This suit is of Swedish origin and was made by G. Thulin from 100% worsted wool. It is dark grey in colour, with a subtly mottled appearance that becomes more apparent on closer inspection. We believe it was tailored in the early 1950s.
The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It features straight jetted hip pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. The left lapel has a buttonhole. The back is plain, with no vent. The cuffs are finished with three buttons and non-functioning buttonholes. The interior is fully lined and fitted with two generously sized inside pockets, one on each side.
The trousers feature double forward pleats, gently slanted side pockets, and belt loops. They have a zip fly. At the rear are two pockets, one on each side, both fastening with buttons.
The condition is excellent—almost as new. The only reason we have not described it as being in mint condition is the presence of some very light discolouration to the lining around the underarms. Aside from this, there is nothing of note. Please examine the photographs carefully and form your own assessment of the condition.
SIZE
The suit corresponds approximately to a modern EU 54–56 (UK/US 44–46). There is a generous amount of extra material in the trouser hems should additional length be required. Please scroll down for detailed measurements and seam allowances.
