BRITISH 1960S MID-GREY TWO PIECE SUIT BY SAXON HAWK. SIZE CA EU 46 (US/UK36)

DESCRIPTION

This suit is of British origin and features an internal label reading “Saxon Hawk”. On the opposite side, there is a second label stating “Styled by Huntsman of Savile Row London”, indicating a clear connection to the prestigious Huntsman tailoring house. It appears to have been made sometime during the 1960s.

The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps, as well as a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The cuffs are finished with two buttons. At the back, it is straight with a single vent. Internally, the jacket is fully lined and has one inner pocket on each side, one of which fastens with a button.

The trousers are fairly typical of the period in their design. They feature double pleats, a zip fly, and side adjusters which can be set in two positions with buttons. The front pockets are vertical. At the back, there are two welt pockets, the right-hand one with a button fastening. Inside the waistband, there are buttons for braces.

The condition is excellent, with no obvious signs of wear. Even the lining, which can sometimes show signs of use even when the exterior appears pristine, is fresh. The only minor point to note is slight discolouration in the lining at the crotch of the trousers. Overall, however, the condition is superb.
