DESCRIPTION
This suit is bespoke and of Swedish origin, from PUB. PUB (Paul U. Bergström) was a department store in Stockholm with an extensive clothing department, including its own tailoring workshop. The suit is dated 18 June 1958. It is made from a light brown mohair fabric, giving it a characteristically lightweight and airy feel — an ideal suit for the warmer months.
The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It features horizontal front pockets with welt openings, a breast pocket, and a buttonhole on the left lapel. At the cuffs, two of the three buttons are functional. The back is straight and ventless. Internally, the jacket is fully lined and has two inside pockets, one on each side.
The trousers have single pleats and vertical front pockets. They are fitted with belt loops and a button fly. Internally, they are partially lined at the front. The hems are turn-ups. At the back, there are two pockets, both with button fastening.
In terms of condition, the overall impression is good, but upon closer inspection there are a number of minor flaws that should be noted. These mainly consist of discolouration to the lining, though there are also a few small damages to the fabric, as well as some minor marks on the exterior. Please study the images and form your own opinion of the condition.
SIZE
The size corresponds to a modern EU 52 (UK/US 42). There is some material in the waistband that could be let out if needed. Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowances.
