SWEDISH 1930S THREE PIECE SINGLE BREASTED PEAK LAPEL PINSTRIPE SUIT BY ABELKO STILKLÄDER. SIZE CA EU 52

DESCRIPTION

This fine three-piece pinstripe suit is of Swedish origin. It was most likely tailored sometime during the 1930s and is labelled “Lloyd, Abelko Stilkläder.” The suit as a whole features many period-typical details, such as peaked lapels and fishtail trousers. It is made from a dark blue pinstriped fabric, also characteristic of the era. All three pieces are marked with the original owner’s initials: “KGS”.

The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and closed – it has no vent. Inside, the jacket is fully lined and has two inner pockets, one on each side.

The waistcoat is single-breasted with six buttons and features four front pockets – two at chest height and two lower down. The back is fitted with a buckle for adjusting the size.

The trousers are high-waisted, with buttons for braces on the outside of the waistband and a button fly. They feature double pleats and turn-ups at the cuffs. The front pockets are vertical, and at the back there are two pockets, both with flaps and button closures. A buckle at the rear allows for waist adjustment.

The overall condition of the suit is good considering its age, though not flawless. There are a few discreet repairs in the fabric; these are not noticeable when worn, but may be seen upon close inspection. Please refer to the photos to make your own assessment of its condition.
