DESCRIPTION
This suit is of Swedish origin, produced by Schlasbergs — a well-known Swedish ready-to-wear firm that enjoyed its heyday in the late 1950s and early 1960s. This particular suit was manufactured sometime during the first half of the 1960s. It is deadstock, meaning it has never been worn. The original tag is still attached to the waistband of the trousers.
The suit is made from a light grey fabric with a slightly mottled texture. The fabric is British, from G. Dibben & Co, and consists of 65% wool, with the remainder being terylene.
The jacket is single-breasted with a three-button fastening. It features horizontal front flap pockets and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and features double vents — a style typical of the time. Just a few years earlier, most Swedish jackets had either a single vent or none at all. The interior is fully lined and includes two inner pockets, one on each side.
The trousers have a front crease, slightly slanted front pockets, and a zip fly. They are fitted with belt loops, and there are two back pockets, both with button closures.
The condition is perfect — the suit has never been worn. Please refer to the photos to form your own impression of the garment.
