DESCRIPTION
This suit is of Swedish origin, tailored by the company A.B.G. Thulin sometime during the 1950s. It is made from a dark grey fabric with a subtle texture. The cut is timeless: the jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It features horizontal front flap pockets and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and has no vent. The interior is fully lined and includes two inner pockets, one on each side. A few spare buttons are sewn in near one of the pockets.
The trousers feature a front crease and slightly slanted front pockets. They have belt loops and a zip fly. On the inside of the waistband, there are buttons for braces. At the back, there are two pockets, both with button closures.
Overall, the condition of the suit is good, with no visible damage to the fabric. The only minor flaw is some slight discolouration in the lining, especially in the trouser pockets and around the armholes. However, this is quite typical for older suits and does not affect the overall impression when worn. Please refer to the photos to form your own judgement regarding the condition.
SIZE
The jacket corresponds to a modern EU 50 (UK/US 40). The trousers appear to have been let out at the waist; based on the waist measurement alone, they correspond to approximately an EU 56 (UK/US 46). However, they could easily be altered back to fit an EU 50 (UK/US 40) if desired. The trousers are relatively short in length – the wearer should ideally not be taller than 175 cm (5'9"), otherwise there is a high risk they will be too short.
