DESCRIPTION

This suit is of Swedish origin, made in the 1950s by Magni and sold in a store called Lidholms in Gävle, a city in central Sweden. It is made from British fabric from Glentwist, a grey worsted wool with a red overcheck.

The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has horizontal front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and lacks vents. Inside, the jacket is fully lined and has three inner pockets, a large one on each side and a small one on the left side.

The trousers have double pleats, slightly slanted front pockets, and belt loops. They have a zipper fly and turn-ups at the ankles. At the back, there are two pockets, both with flaps and button closures.

Regarding the condition, there are some small holes in the fabric. These are not very noticeable, but if you know where they are, they can be quite easy to spot. If desired, these holes can be repaired. The lining has some discoloration, especially in the trousers. However, this is not visible when the suit is worn. The suit corresponds to a modern EU 52-54 (US/UK 42-44). The trousers are slightly smaller in the waist, but there is material to let out in order to match the size of the jacket. Please scroll down for the exact measurements and seam allowances.
