BRITISH 1966 GREY THREE PIECE BESPOKE TWEED SUIT BY AIREY & WHEELER. SIZE CA EU 48

DESCRIPTION

This three-piece suit is of British origin, made bespoke by Airey & Wheeler. The exact date is not clearly visible on the label, but we interpret it as being delivered to its original owner in 1966. It is made from a grey, lightly flecked tweed fabric, a relatively thin tweed compared to many of the other vintage tweed garments that we sell.

The jacket is single-breasted with three buttons. It has horizontal front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The two bottom buttons on the sleeve cuffs are functional. The jacket has a straight back with two relatively short vents. It is fully lined inside and has two inner pockets, one on each side.

The waistcoat is single-breasted and fastens with six buttons. It has four front pockets, two upper and two lower. The lower two have flaps, while the upper two have piping. The vest also has a lapel. The back features a strap for adjusting the size.

The trousers have double pleats, vertical front pockets, and fasten with a zipper. They have buttons for braces inside the waistband. On the outside of the waistband, there are adjusters to alter the waist size. The trousers also have a back pocket on the right side, with a button closure.

The condition of the suit as a whole is very good, with no noticeable damage. The lining is also in generally excellent condition. Please examine the pictures to form your own opinion about its condition.
