DESCRIPTION
This is a very fine three-piece 1940s suit of Swedish origin, by the brand Siljans. It is made from a heavy light brown fabric typical of the era. The brown buttons create a nice contrast against the fabric. The jacket is single-breasted with three buttons, features horizontal front pockets and a breast pocket. It has a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is plain with no vent. The jacket is fully lined and has two inner pockets, one on each side.
The waistcoat fastens with six buttons and has four front pockets. It also features an adjustable buckle at the back for size adjustment.
The trousers have double front pleats, a button fly, and internal buttons for braces on the waistband. They have vertical front pockets and two back pockets, one on each side, both with flaps and button closures. They are cuffed.
The condition of the suit is excellent, as close to perfect as one can get without being completely unworn. There are no signs of wear. Please take a look at the pictures and form your own opinion regarding its condition.
SIZE
The size corresponds to a modern EU 50-52 (US/UK 40-42). There is plenty of fabric to let out at the waist if needed, a full 10 cm. Please scroll down for the exact measurements and seam allowance.
