DESCRIPTION
This three piece suit dates back to the early 1950s and is of Swedish origin, produced by Tiger in Uddevalla on the Swedish east coast. It was sold at a haberdashery store named Arnes Kläder, in Söderhamn, on the Swedisgh east coast. The jacket has a three button single breasted closure, horizontal front pockets with flaps and one breast pocket. It has a plain back with no vent. The jacket is fully lined and has three inner pockets, one on the right side and two in the left side. The waistcoat has a six button closure and four front pockets. It is adjusted in the back not by the usual buckle and strap but with an elastic band. The trousers are double pleated and has buttons for braces on on outside of the waistband. They have button fly and hook closure in top. The have two back pockets, one on each side with button closure. The overall condition is great, but the lining in the pockets and groin area show discolouration. These parts of the lining could easily be replaced. Please have a look at the images and evaluate the condition.
SIZE
The size of the jacket and waistcoat would best be described as a modern EU 56 (US/UK 46). The trousers are larger going by the measurement in the waist. But they could of course be taken in if needed. Please scroll down for the exact measurements and seam allowance.
