DESCRIPTION
This bespoke suit was commissioned on December 13, 1950. Made by J.T. Wikström in the small village of Bredbyn, up in the north of Sweden. The cloth is dark blue with a very subtle herringbone weave. The jacket has a three button single breasted closure and horizontal front pockets with flaps. It has one breast pocket. It has a plain back with no vent. The jacket is fully lined and has two inner pockets, one on each side. The waistcoat has a six button closure and four front pockets. It has an adjuster in the back. The trousers are double pleated and has buttons for braces on the outside of the waistband. They have a button fly with hook closure in top. They have two back pockets and a fish tail opening in the back. The overall condition is good, there are no obvious signs of wear except for some discolorations in the lining. Nothing that will be noticed when worn. Please have a look at the images and evaluate the condition.
SIZE
The size of the jacket and the waistcoat would best be described as a modern size EU 50 (US/UK 40). The trousers are slightly larger, closer to a EU 52 (US/UK 42). Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowance.
