SWEDISH 1940S MID GREY THREE PIECE SUIT BY PETTERSSON & CO. SIZE CA EU 50-52

DESCRIPTION

This classic three piece suit dates back to the 1940s and is of Swedish origin, produced by Pettersson & Co under the brand Stadion ("The stadium"). The jacket has a three button single closure, two horizontal front pockets with flaps and one breast pocket. It has a plain back with no vent. It is fully lined and has two inner pockets, one on each side, plus one extra pocket in the left side. The waistcoat has a six button closure, four pockets, and has a lined back with adjuster. The trousers are double pleated and has two diagonal front pockets plus one small pocket for coins, just below the waist. They have a button fly and buttons for suspenders. They also have something very typical for Swedish 1940s trousers, so called tunnel loops. When used with belt the belt will be partly hidden.  The trousers have two backs pockets, one on each side and both with flaps and button closure. Overall this suit has all the details that you would except from a Swedish 1940s suit. The general condition of the suit is good considering its age. There are no obvious signs of wear except for some discoloration in the pockets. Please have a look at the images and evaluate the condition of the suit. 

SIZE

The size is somewhere between a modern EU size 50 and 52 (US/UK 40-42). The jacket and waistcoat are between EU size 50 and 52 whilst the trousers are closer to a modern size EU 50. There is however some material to let out, in waist as well as in length. Please scroll down for the exact measurements.
