SWEDISH 1950S LIGHT BROWN TWO PIECE DEADSTOCK SUIT BY ELSON. SIZE CA EU 48

DESCRIPTION

This suit dates back to the early 1950s. It is of Swedish origin and it has never been used, the original tags are still attached to the sleeve and the waist of the trousers. It is made in a brown striped cloth with a subtle turquoise pattern. One of a kind! The jacket has a two button closure, two horizontal front pockets and one breast pocket. It has a plain back with no vents.  It is fully lined and has three inner pockets, two large ones and one smaller on the left side. There is also one extra button attached to the lining. The trousers are double pleated and have vertical front pockets. They have belt loops and buttons for braces. They have a zipper fly with a hook in top. They have turn ups and two back pockets, both with button closure. The overall condition of the suit is great, it is completely unused. However there is a small damages from storage on the right shoulder. Please have a look at the images and evaluate the condition of the suit.  

SIZE

The size of the jacket would best be described as a modern EU 48 (US/UK 38). The trousers are smaller, closer to a EU 44 (US/UK34). There is quite much of material to let out in the waist and also in length if sacrificing the turn ups. Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowance.
