DESCRIPTION
This suit dates back to the late 1940s or possibly early 1950s. It is of Swedish origin, produced by Lyon. It has a district blue colour tone with stripes, clearly a fabric a little out of the ordinary. The jacket has a two button rather low single closure and horizontal front pocket. It has one breast pocket. It has a plain back with no vent. It is fully lined and has three inner pockets, one large on each side plus a smaller one on the left side. The trousers are double pleated, has diagonal front pockets and button fly. They hade belt loops and two back pockets, both with flap and button closure. The overall condition of the suit is good considering its age, but there are som discoloration to the lining. This is nothing that will affect the overall impression when worn. Please have a look at the images and evaluate the condition.
SIZE
The size of the jacket would best be described as a modern size EU 50 (US/UK 40). The trousers are smaller, closer to a size EU 46 (US/UK36). There is a lot a material thought to let out in the waist to make them same size as jacket. There is also material to let out in length. Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowance.
