DESCRIPTION
This suit dates back to the 1950s and is of Swedish origin, produced by Hollywood, a very American inspired Swedish menswear company that was popular in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The suit is made in a brown striped 100% wool fabric. The jacket has a single breasted two button closure and horizontal front pockets with flaps. It has a plain back with no vent. The jacket is fully lined and has four inner pockets, one large on each side plus two smaller ones for pens on the left side. The trousers are single pleated (note: American pleats), has diagonal front pockets and a zipper fly with button in top. They have one back pocket on the right side with flap and button closure. The overall condition of the suit is great, there are no obvious signs of wear. Please have a look at the images and evaluate the condition.
SIZE
The size of the jacket would best be described as a modern size EU 48 (US/UK38). The trousers are smaller, closest to a modern size EU 44 (US/UK 34). There is a lot of material to let out in the trousers, both in the waist and in length. Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowance.
