DESCRIPTION

These cufflinks bear no maker’s mark, but they are most likely of Swedish origin and were probably produced sometime during the 1920s or 1930s, when snap cufflinks were at the height of their popularity. This type of cufflink is called "snap links"; they are double-sided and fasten together with a press-stud mechanism. This is very practical and significantly simplifies unbuttoning the shirt cuff.

Notably, one side is round while the other is square. It is unclear whether these originally came from two different pairs within the same series, or if they were designed intentionally with contrasting front and back. In any case, we are selling them as they are. Which side you choose to wear facing out is entirely up to your mood!

The condition is good, with no notable damage.

 The face measures approximately 1.3 cm x 1.3 cm.

Some cufflinks that we sell show signs of wear, which is natural considering their age. However, looking at the pictures, one should be aware that the makro lens of the camera picks up every little imperfection on a small piece like a pair of cufflinks. What is a noticable damage in the picture may be hardly even visible with the naked eye. These small damages will not affect the overall impression when the cufflinks are worn.

THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE
CUFFLINK

A. THE FACE - This is the frontside of the cufflink, the part that is visible on the outside of the shirt´s sleeve.

B. THE SHANK - This is the middle part of the cufflink, the part that is inside the shirt, between the button holes.

C. THE FOOT - This is the backside of the cufflink, the part that is visible on the inside of the shirt´s sleeve.
