DESCRIPTION
These elegant silver cufflinks are from 1967 and were made by the Swedish silversmith and goldsmith Gustaf Asp, from the small town of Hedemora in central Sweden. The blue-toned stones are known as "Bergslags stones." This term refers to the slag that was a byproduct of iron production in Sweden during the 1700s and 1800s. The colour is typically in various shades of blue, though Bergslags stone can also be green or black. The texture resembles glass. In addition to the maker's mark, they also feature the Swedish silver hallmark, also known as the "cat's foot."
The overall condition is good, there are a few small chips in the stones, these do not affect the overall appearance when the cufflinks are worn and are only noticeable upon very close inspection.
The face measures approximately 1.9 cm x 1,7 cm.

Some cufflinks that we sell show signs of wear, which is natural considering their age. However, looking at the pictures, one should be aware that the makro lens of the camera picks up every little imperfection on a small piece like a pair of cufflinks. What is a noticable damage in the picture may be hardly even visible with the naked eye. These small damages will not affect the overall impression when the cufflinks are worn.
