SWEDISH 1890S BLACK SHAWL LAPEL SINGLE BREASTED WAISTCOAT. SIZE CA EU 48

DESCRIPTION

This waistcoat dates back to the 1890s and is most likely of Swedish origin. There are no labels so we cannot tell the maker but it was most likely made bespoke.  It has a five button closure with covered buttons, shawl collar lapel and three front pockets, one lower pocket one each side plus a chest pocket on the left side. The waistcoat is fully lined. The overall condition is good considering its age, but it has a few damages that should be noted. The lining show some wear, there is also some wear to the chest pocket and in the right armpit. A part of the lining has ben replaced and the lining show some discoloration, natural due to its age.
