DESCRIPTION
This leather jacket is of Swedish origin, made sometime in the 1950s and sold at Calles Skinnkläder, a store in Söderhamn, central Sweden. In the neck, it has a label that reads "genuine goatskin."
The jacket is single-breasted and has five buttons. It features diagonal front pockets as well as vertical chest pockets. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and lacks a vent. Inside, it is lined with a checked wool fabric. It also has one inner pocket, on the right side.
The condition of this jacket is exceptionally good. The leather is incredibly soft and fine, almost as if it were brand new. The lining is also in perfect condition. It is likely that the jacket has been worn very little, if at all. The only noticeable detail is that it originally had belt loops, which have been removed for some reason. The stitching holes from these loops are visible if examined very closely. There are also buttons on the neck, indicating that the jacket originally had a detachable collar, probably made of fur. Please study the photos and form your own opinion on the condition of the jacket.

Sweden had a prominent leather industry during the first half of the 20th century, largely concentrated in Malung, in the province of Dalarna. Some of that heritage can be found here with us in the form of leather jackets in various styles, often made from goatskin. The high level of craftsmanship and the quality of the leather are distinctive features of garments from this period.

Renovateur Cream is the “must-have” product for any leather goods aficionado. Containing beeswax, lanolin and mink oil, it gently cleans while adding nourishment and protection to the leather. Renovateur Cream is highly regarded by leather care specialists as the best leather care product in the world!
Ensure all dirt and dust is removed from the shoes. Buff shoes with a brush. For a more in-depth clean, use the Saphir Beauté du Cuir Cleaning Lotion (ref. 0544).
Apply Crème 1925 sparingly using a cotton cloth or the Saphir Médaille d’Or Spreading Brush (ref. 2601).
Massage into the leather in a circular motion, enabling the cream to penetrate and nourish the leather. This will ensure a good layer of protection. Leave it to dry for one hour.
Polish leather with a bristle brush then finish with a wool cloth or glove.
Once a base coat of Crème 1925 has been applied, simply re-buff the shoe following wear to maintain the shine.
