This lightweight coat is of Swedish origin, made sometime during the 1940s or 1950s and produced under the Dress label. It was originally sold new by Gottfrid Olsson in Uppsala. The coat is cut from a cotton cloth with a subtle twill structure and is chocolate brown in colour.
It is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. At the waist it is belted. It features slanted front pockets, and there is a buttonhole in the left lapel. The cuffs are finished with decorative tabs. At the back there is a single vent. Internally, the body of the coat is lined with a checked cotton fabric.
The condition is very good. There may be a slight degree of fading, but this is only noticeable when compared with areas that have never been exposed to sunlight, such as beneath the lapel. There is also a faint spot near one of the front buttons. Overall, however, the condition is excellent. Please study the photographs and form your own assessment of the condition.
