This overcoat is of Swedish origin, made by the brand Stadion and produced sometime during the 1950s, or possibly slightly earlier. It was originally sold new in a men’s outfitter in Bollnäs, central Sweden. The coat is made from a blue, small-check wool fabric resembling a houndstooth pattern.
The coat is double-breasted with three rows of buttons. It features leather buttons in a blue tone that complements the fabric. The front pockets are horizontal with substantial flaps. In addition to these, there are also vertical chest pockets, one on each side. At the cuffs, there are decorative buttoned tabs. At the back, it has a half-belt and a vent. The coat is fully lined and has two internal pockets, one on each side.
The overall condition is good, although there is some visible wear on the buttons. There is also slight discolouration in the collar, though this is only visible when it is turned up. Please study the photos and form your own opinion of the condition.
SIZE
In terms of size, it corresponds to a modern EU 52 (UK/US 42). Please note that this sizing is based on wearing a jacket underneath. Without a jacket, the coat would likely also fit someone who normally wears an EU 54 (UK/US 44).
