This coat is of Swedish origin. It was bespoke tailored in September 1939 by Hertzberg & Co, a men’s tailoring establishment in Stockholm. It is made from a dark grey wool cloth with a subtle twill structure.
It is double-breasted with two rows of buttons, of which two are functional. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps and has buttonholes in both lapels. The back is straight and includes a vent. Internally, it is fully lined and has two inner pockets - one on each side.
As for the condition, the overall impression is good, but upon closer inspection a number of minor flaws can be found. There are, for example, a few small areas of damage to the fabric. There is also some wear to the sleeve cuffs, and the collar shows minor wear as well. None of this is noticeable when the coat is worn, but it should nevertheless be taken into consideration when contemplating a purchase. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own assessment of the condition.
