DESCRIPTION
This coat is of Swedish origin. It was made by Hjelm, a Swedish ready-to-wear manufacturer from Skåne, in the very south of Sweden. It was most likely produced around 1940. The coat is tailored from a lightly mottled dark grey wool fabric, with a subtle twill structure visible upon close inspection.
It is single-breasted with a concealed button fastening and closes with three buttons. It features horizontal front pockets, and there is a buttonhole in the left lapel. The back is straight and has a vent. Internally, it is fully lined and has two inner pockets—one on each side.
The overall condition is very good. There is only one minor detail to note: a small repair under the collar, which is only visible when the collar is turned up. A few stitches have come loose in the lining at the back of the neck. Otherwise, the condition is excellent. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own assessment of the condition.
