DESCRIPTION
This beautiful coat is of Swedish origin and was bespoke made by a tailoring firm named Hellströms in Linköping in 1957. Judging by the cut, however, it could easily be twenty years older, as the original owner appears to have had rather conservative tastes. It is made from a black wool cloth with a subtle twill structure, which becomes apparent upon closer inspection.
The coat is double-breasted with three rows of buttons, all of which are functional. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps and has a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and has a vent. Inside, it is fully lined and has two inner pockets, one on each side.
As for the condition, it is virtually flawless. There is nothing of note to mention. Often one sees clear signs of wear on a velvet collar, and if not, it can indicate that the collar has been replaced. In this case, however, we believe the absence of wear is simply due to the coat having been used very little, something that is also supported by the overall condition of the garment. A truly fine coat in every respect. Please study the photographs and form your own view of the condition.
