DESCRIPTION
This coat is of Swedish origin and was most likely made sometime during the 1940s, although it could also date from the early 1950s. It is by the brand Elson, a label produced by the ready-to-wear company Erikson & Larson, based in Borås in southern Sweden. The fabric is of British origin — a dark grey, heavy herringbone-patterned 100% wool cloth from West of England Cloth.
The coat is single-breasted with a concealed button fastening. It closes with four buttons. It features slightly slanted front pockets, and there is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight with a single vent. Inside, it is fully lined and has two inner pockets — one on each side.
The condition is excellent; the only minor note is very slight wear on one of the buttonholes, but otherwise the coat is virtually in mint condition. Please study the photos carefully to form your own opinion of its condition.
SIZE
In modern sizing, the coat corresponds to an EU 48 SHORT (US/UK 38 SHORT). Please scroll down for the exact measurements.
