DESCRIPTION
This silk dressing gown has no labels except for a discreet size marking in the neck that says "48." However, we believe we can confidently say that it is of Swedish origin and most likely made sometime during the 1940s or 1950s. It features a shawl collar, large horizontal front pockets, and fastens with a belt. The back is straight and lacks a vent.
The condition is relatively good, with no holes or similar damage. However, there are a couple of discolorations. But the overall impression is still good. Please study the images and form your own opinion about the condition.
SIZE
As previously mentioned, it is marked with "48" in the neck, and this corresponds well with reality, as it matches a modern EU 48 (US/UK38). This is a type of garment that is forgiving in size, so it is likely that someone who usually wears EU 46 (US/UK36) could also wear it with good results, perhaps even someone who normally wears EU 50 (US/UK40).
