DESCRIPTION
This is an outstanding overcoat. It is of Swedish origin, made sometime in the 1930s by Matador, using a very heavy black wool fabric, typical of the time. This coat is of very high quality in terms of both craftsmanship and materials. It is double-breasted with three rows of buttons, of which two are used. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps and pointed lapels with buttonholes, one on each side. The back is straight and has a vent. Inside, it is fully lined and has two inner pockets, one on each side. On the right inner pocket, there is a metal plaque with the original owner’s name.
The condition is very good, close to new. There is a small damage to the fabric just below the right pocket. There is also some wear visible at the cuff. However, both of these issues are only noticeable upon a close inspection, and neither can be seen when the coat is worn. They do not affect the overall impression. Please have a look at the pictures and form your own opinion about the coat’s condition.
SIZE
In size, it corresponds to a modern EU 46 (US/UK 36). If you are a size EU 46, the coat will fit well with a jacket underneath. Please note that the coat is quite long; we believe it would fit best on someone at least 180 cm tall. Please scroll down for the exact measurements.
