DESCRIPTION
This sports jacket has no labels, but it is nevertheless possible to draw a number of conclusions by studying the garment. It was made sometime during the 1930s or 1940s and is, by all appearances, of Swedish origin. It is green in colour, with a somewhat more pronounced green tone than that often seen in the greyish-green sports jackets of the period.
It is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has substantial patch pockets at the front and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole in the left lapel. At the back, it is straight and closed, with no vent, which was standard at the time. Internally, it is fully lined and has two inside pockets – a traditionally horizontal pocket on the right-hand side and a vertical pocket on the left.
In terms of condition, the exterior is excellent. The only points to note are some areas of discolouration to the lining, particularly around the armholes. This is, of course, not visible when the jacket is worn. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion of the condition.
