DESCRIPTION
This odd jacket is of British origin and comes from the well-known ready-to-wear brand Dunn & Co.. It was most likely made in the late 1960s, or possibly slightly later. The cloth is by Harris Tweed – a robust checked tweed incorporating shades of grey, rust, and green when viewed up close. From a distance, however, the overall impression is grey.
It is single-breasted with three buttons. The buttons are made of leather, which is typical of the period. It features slightly slanted front pockets with flaps, as well as a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The cuffs are finished with a single button, also in leather. At the back, it is straight with double vents. Internally, it is fully lined and has one inner pocket on the right-hand side.
Externally, the condition is excellent. The lining does, however, show some discolouration, though it remains intact. The discolouration is most noticeable in the sleeve linings, and there is also a stain lower down on the back lining. Naturally, this is not visible when the jacket is worn. Please study the photographs carefully to form your own assessment of the condition.
