DESCRIPTION
This unusual work jacket is of Swedish origin. It bears no labels, however, which makes it impossible to determine its exact provenance. By all appearances, it was made in the early 1930s. It is constructed from a heavy cotton fabric with a light grey ground, featuring alternating narrow and wide dark grey stripes.
The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has large external horizontal front pockets and a breast pocket on the left-hand side. The back is straight and closed, without a vent.
Considering the garment’s original purpose and age, the condition is good, though not perfect. There are some minor discolourations, and slight wear can be noted around the buttonholes. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own assessment of the condition.
An uncommon jacket, rarely encountered on the Swedish market.
SIZE
The jacket is small in size. Converted to modern sizing, it corresponds to an EU 44 (UK/US 34). It should also be noted that the model is characteristically short in length, as was typical of the period. Please scroll down for the exact measurements.
