DESCRIPTION

These boots are unbranded, so it is not possible to determine the exact manufacturer. However, a number of conclusions can still be drawn from their construction. They were most likely made during the 1930s. They are crafted from black goatskin, the type of leather that was dominant for Swedish boots at the time. The interior is lined with light-coloured canvas, also typical of Swedish footwear from the first half of the 20th century. They feature leather soles and are Goodyear welted.

In terms of condition, the uppers are in unusually good shape - soft and well-preserved, and with proper care they will last for many more years. The only real flaw in the leather is a minimal crack at the very front of the toe cap on the right shoe. The soles still have plenty of life left before a resole will be necessary. Please study the photographs and form your own opinion of the condition.

SIZE

The boots are marked “44” on the outsole; however, the actual size is somewhat smaller, approximately an EU 43. They are relatively wide for their time and should fit a modern foot of standard width. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
