DESCRIPTION
This tweed blazer is of Swedish origin and was tailored sometime in the late 1940s or possibly the early 1950s. The label is DAKO, a Swedish brand that, interestingly enough, still exists today—although it now focuses on accessories.
It is made from a high-quality, heavy tweed fabric featuring a blend of green, brown, and white tones. However, to the eye, it appears primarily green.
The blazer is single-breasted and fastens with two buttons. It has horizontal front pockets with welts, as well as a breast pocket on the left-hand side. The back is straight with a single vent. Internally, it is fully lined and has one inside pocket on each side.
The overall condition of the blazer is very good, but there is one point worth considering before purchase: along the left sleeve, there is an area that has become sun-faded. At first glance, it appears as a shadow, but upon closer inspection, the colour change is permanent. The fading is more noticeable under studio lighting than in natural conditions, but it should nevertheless be noted. The significance of this is, of course, up to the individual, and we have taken this flaw into account when setting the price. Please refer to the photos to form your own assessment.
