ITALIAN 1950S DARK GREY SILK TIE BY BRIONI

DESCRIPTION

This tie is of Italian origin, made by the renowned company Brioni sometime in the 1950s, and sold at Nordiska Kompaniet (NK) in Stockholm, the city’s most exclusive department store. The tie is dark grey in colour, with a pattern consisting of light grey diamonds. It has hand-stitched edges, which was uncommon for Swedish ties at that time. In fact, it was rare to find ties that weren’t made in Sweden, so this was certainly a tie out of the ordinary. The tie features a label marked "all silk," and the lining bears Brioni's name. The condition is good, with no visible damage.
