DESCRIPTION

This grey bowler hat is of Swedish origin, produced by Karlskrona Hat Factory — Sweden’s most renowned hat manufacturer — most likely sometime during the 1940s or 1950s, although it is difficult to date this particular hat more precisely. It was made for a shop called Treman, located in Härnösand in central Sweden. The interior is beautifully lined and features a brown leather sweatband. The condition of the hat is close to perfect, with no obvious signs of wear — it has likely seen very little use. Bowler hats in colours other than black are relatively uncommon on the market.
