DESCRIPTION
These black balmoral boots are of Swedish origin and were likely produced around 1940. The brand is Regent; however, we have not been able to determine which factory manufactured the shoes. They are marked “A&J” on the insole, which is likely where the answer lies, but we have not been able to reliably link these initials to any specific factory. Regent is therefore the brand name rather than the manufacturer.
They are made from black kidskin leather and are deadstock, meaning completely unworn. The leather outsoles show only minor signs of testing. The shoes feature a slightly angular toe cap, a detail sometimes seen on boots from this period.
The interior is lined with a light canvas fabric, and the exterior features leather soles with Good Year Wingfoot rubber heels. Please examine the images and form your own assessment of the condition.
